I have been working with students with learning differences in East Bay public and independent schools as well as home settings and my home office since 2001. I’ve worked with kindergarten through high school students who have learning disabilities in the academic areas of reading, spelling, writing, reading comprehension, math skills, and study skills, as well as students with socio-emotional learning differences including attention and self-regulatory deficits, executive function challenges, and anxiety and depression. I’ve been trained in Orton-Gillingham-based reading systems including the Wilson Language System as well as the Lindamood-Bell Visualizing/Verbalizing reading comprehension program. I have also received training in many math intervention techniques including the locally established Making Math Real, The Four Operations.
I continue to augment my skills through active participation in the Association for Educational Therapists, achieving the Educational Therapist/Professional designation, and taking advantage of mentoring from several highly experienced Board Certified Educational Therapists in the area. In addition, I was on the staff of the Raskob Learning Institute Clinic from spring 2005 through spring 2007.
I completed the Holy Names University Educational Therapist Certificate program in December 2006 and received a Masters in Education in May of 2007.

- Over 20 years of marketing, consulting and management experience, including 10 years in my own private consulting practice, and eleven years with IBM in Michigan and California working with Dow Chemical, General Motors, and large West Coast companies.
- Five years developing and managing non-profit work- and living-skills programs for adults with moderate and severe disabilities for the Michigan Department of Mental Health.
- MBA from Michigan State University.
- BS from Eastern Kentucky University, with major in Rehabilitation Counseling and minors in Psychology and Social Work.
